class pandas.PeriodDtype(freq)[source]#

An ExtensionDtype for Period data.

This is not an actual numpy dtype, but a duck type.

Parameters:
freqstr or DateOffset

The frequency of this PeriodDtype.

Attributes

freq

The frequency object of this PeriodDtype.
